Outlook 2003

Hi,

Let me give you a little background about my problem.

I just got a new computer this past Friday. It runs Windows Vista Home
Basic and had a Beta trial of Office 2007. The Outlook ran fine the first
day. Then I found a program on the Windows sight that allowed me to transfer
my old programs from my old pc to my new laptop. After that, Outlook stopped
working. It would error out before it even opened the start page, and
wouldn't even work in safe mode. So I decided to uninstall it and install my
office 2003 suit. Now Outlook 2003 does the same thing. I can't figure it
out. I've installed updates, run windows diagnostics and Windows
Installation Cleanup. Nothing has worked so far. Can anyone help me?!?!?

Does 2003 start in Safe mode?
Have you tried creating a new profile?

No, safe mode didn't work, and creating a new profile didn't work either.
Repairing .dll files didn't work, nor did system restore. I also tried
uninstalling the entire 2003 office package and reinstalling it about 3 or 4
times. I actually just solved the problem seconds before you posted this. In
my utter frustration, I ran the settings transfer wizard again, only
transfering the settings for office 2003 in every catagory I could find under
the theory that one of the settings may be off. So it works now... finally.
Thanks for giving trying to help me - I was starting to get very stressed out
over it. Hopefully my little misfortune will help someone who has the same
problem in the future.
