Outlook 2003

Hi...
I am running Office Professional 2003 on a Dell laptop (D610)
I used to have Outlook configured for on old account, and for some reason I
cannot get it to work now. I tried setting up a new email account, but I'm
having trouble with it. I keep getting error messages. If I just try to pull
up Outlook... it tells me it is configuring outlook accounts and then when it
can't find any it comes up with an error message that it can't connect.
If I go to "mail" in my control panel... and try to configure the emails...
I am lost.
How do I get rid of the old accounts and configure a new one. Where do I
find my pop3 name and the STMP name?
Someone please help.
My goal is to be able to send a Publisher email to my prospective clients.
Also, I want to still be able to get my emails through my windows live
hotmail account... I don't want them deleted or really imported into outlook.
Thank you so much!

You've stated no symptoms. Error messages are important and usually tell you
what the problem is, yet you've decided posting the contents of those messages
is unimportant. No one can help you if you're vague.

Your mail provider will tell you what server/port values to use. Many (most?)
have a web page that explains the exact procedure. The Mail applet in Control
Panel is how you configure Outlook, adding your accounts with the E-mail
Accounts button and your data store (where your folders are) with the Data
Files button. http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/newprofile.htm

If you use the Outlook Connector with Outlook, then you can access your
Hotmail mailbox directly with Outlook and nothing will be deleted or
"imported" unless you explicitly do it.
