Outlook 2003?

Is there a way to separate out the 'tasks' feature of outlook 2003? I like
the old Outlook Express better for email. I tried to take the Outlook 2003
offline because that's how I would use it but system refused to comply. I
only want to list tasks with date so as to create automatic reminders. Is
this possible? thank you

Create the following shortcut to Outlook;
outlook.exe /select outlook:tasks
