Outlook 2003..

John Vighetto

Hello everyone.

I have a client that mainly runs XP Pro clients except for 3
workstations, and they are Win2K Pro systems. On one of the clients running
Win2K (figures, it would have to be the owner's workstation), I get the
message, "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook
window. The set of folders could not be opened."

Has anyone ever come across this message and found a way to correct
this? Help!

Thank you, Milly. I'll try that this afternoon when I'm at the client's
office and post back my results. Thanks again!

John

Hello Milly,

Yes, it actually did. I had mentioned to the client not to open up
Outlook 2003 on his Win2K Pro workstation until I got there. Well, my first
mistake was asking him not to do this. My second mistake was not checking
the obvious, as you nicely pointed out. There were 3 different profiles, all
of them being mis-configured by the client. The good news is that I had sent
him a fax regarding not to do this and it's been documented......so.....he's
aware that he will be getting an invoice for all of this time ;-).

Thanks, Milly, for reminding me not to overlook the obvious!

Regards,
John

Ah, the joys of consulting... I know them well. Glad it worked for both of
you.
