Okay,
I know I have the settings correct for my e-mail provided (called them
several times) and they are to the point that they will not troubleshoot the
cause any further as "it is not thier product."
I can access my Yahoo mail just fine, so the overall program is fine.
What I get, is the incoming mail comes in fine, but the outgoing keeps
asking for my id and password. The ID and password are corrrect, and the mail
provided does in fact require authentication and it is the same as my user
name and password for downloading the mail (which I can do). Incoming is
pop.secureserver.net and outgoing is smtpout.secureserver.net, outgoing ports
available are 80, 25, and 3535.
I have also tried using my internet connection ID and password, using the
requirement of SSL (on port 465 as I would for Yahoo mail).
All to no conclusion. There is only something minor wrong as this has worked
fine in the past (last week before my old system crashed) I just cannot find
it.
I'm using Outlook Express 2006, Win XP with all the updates current it would
download and install from Microsoft.com
