Bit of a messy issue here, will try and break it down:
The software is Office 2007 Professional (including Outlook) on a
Windows XP SP2 platform. He upgraded it from Office 2003 to the MSDN
testing version of Office 2007 and then when the trial period ran out,
bought a license for Office 2007 professional. He uninstalled the MSDN
version, and installed the full version. He also uses Citrix to get to
a desktop that is Windows 2000 and Office XP (he is one of the IT
project managers and as well as using the standard Citrix desktop, he
has Outlook locally installed on his laptop - and no he will not allow
his setup to be simplified!). He went out of the office for a few
days, and on his return he found that all recurring appointments were
being duplicated 3 or 10 times!
Here is his own account of what happened:
· Installed M/S Office 2007 MSDN edition
· Started to lose functionality after grace period
· Ordered full version of Office 2007
· Uninstalled old MSDN version
· Installed full version and registered it.
· Used it for a day or two.
· Went to Clacton for a few days, and when I returned I had multiple
entries of most of my recurring meetings.
· These multiple entries are filling up and slowing my PDA.
· N.B. The installation of Office 2007 seems to have also affected the
USB ports on my machine - USB devices that were recognised before
Hope this is helpful.
Any ideas people?
