Outlook 2007 & 2003 'Not Responding' when DEL key used

I've had a growing problem on my Vista laptop firstly with Outlook 2007 where
it started crashing so frequently I decided to format the hard drive,
reinstall everything, but revert to office 2003. However I am still getting
Outlook 2003 hanging when editing text using the DEL key - backspace seems to
not cause the problem. This happens in emails, calendar and contacts. In
Outlook 2007 the problem seemed to be emails only.

My Laptop has a record of 7 stopped recording errors from 3/8/09 to 6/8/09
all sent to Microsft and for which there was no solution. My previous
Outlook 2007 instal had soemthing like 90 stopped responding errors in the
log, all reported and no solution.
