Hugo Pinto

Hello,

I'm using Outlook 2007 and very often (2/3 times per day), the outlook.exe
process reach 50% of the CPU and stays there, even if I close it. When I end
the process Outlook.exe, is the process explorer.exe that reach 50%, waht
forces me to restart the notebook.

Can anyone help me?

Best regards,
Hugo Pinto

Open Outlook in administrative mode & go to the Add-in's section (Tools,
Options, Other, Add-In Mgr) & disable the VBA (Visual Basic for Apps) plugin.
Click OK multiple times & close Outlook. After re-opening it, all should
run better.

I'm not certain what, if any, interoperability this may break, but it
resolves your issue. From the info I've seen about the 'net, this has been a
known issue for several months & a patch/fix hasn't been released yet.

I've also seen several posts referring to the CyberLink PowerDVD/-Designer
components that may also be causing this, but I have not been able to verify
this. It may simply require the removal of the component in the registry's
Run key.
