In 32-bit Vista Contacts is only the default when Outlook is not
installed. As soon as Outlook is installed it becomes the default
address service for WSF.

in message Really? Must be not supported then in a 64-bit version of Vista. For me
it always opens my Vista Contacts folder and cannot configure it with
Outlook.

Actually, Outlook is the default provider of the address service for
Windows Scan and Fax.

AFAIK it is not possible to use Outlook as an address book for Scan
and Fax. If you choose Tools-> Contacts in the Fax screen does it
open up Outlook or your Contacts folder?

I do not use Outlook 2007. It is installed as part of Office 07.
What I do
use is the new Vista Scan and Fax utility. Whenever I do go to send
a fax I
wanted the Contacts folder to come up and not the Outlook address
book. Is
there a way to do that? The way it is now I have people in both
places
instead of just the Contacts folder.
TIA,
