Hi Parkis,
Thank you for posting.
From your post, I understand you would like to have All Day event meeting
which generated from MST time zone client to show as an ¡°entire day¡±
event on Outlook which is in EST time zone. If I'm off base, please feel
free to let me know.
Regarding the issue, I would like to explain some more information how the
meeting request is sent. From the following information which I gathered
from an All Day event Meeting request. You are able to see that the meeting
request is sent with the start date, end date and the time zone which you
set.
0x81B4001E (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)
PR_START_DATE 08:00:00AM 12/08/2008
PR_EED_DATE 08:00:00AM 12/09/2008
When the message reach the recipient mailbox, it will be saved to the
Calendar folder with the same Mapi attribute as the meeting request
message. Then, when Outlook attempt to display the meeting, it will convert
to correct time based on the client time zone setting.
Note: Please understand that these Mapi attribute will not be changed. If
you change the time zone, the display information will also be changed
automatically.
Therefore, you either need to modify the recipient client time zone setting
to MST or send the meeting request with the EST time zone. You can select
time zone when sending meeting request by referring to following screenshot:
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Mike Shen
