Outlook 2007 and Win7 - out of memory

I am getting a "cannot start processing service...out of memory..." errors
after opening four large pst files. Now I cannot close them. I have Win 7 64
bit, Outlook 2007 and 8GB of memory. How do i get out of this problem? Why
do I have this limitation?

Hard to say without exact steps to reproduce and knowing when exactly you
get this error.
What is logged to the Event Viewer?

Does it work correctly in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> type; outlook.exe /safe
(note the space in the command)
