Outlook 2007 Appointments

I just upgraded from 2003 to 2007. In 2003 I was able to make an appointment
on my calendar from a contact. The advantage to this is that the contact
link would show on the appointment and then I can get to the contact easily
to add notes. I have only found that I can do this by clicking on Meeting
and then deleting the email address and when I have put in the appointment
information I can either click send, which pops up a window saying that there
is no email address and asking if I just want to save it, or I can just click
on the "X" in the upper right hand corner and it asks if I want to save it.
This works OK for me but I wanted to find out if there is another way to put
an appointment on my calendar from the contact without the email prompt.
