outlook 2007 attach multiple journals to same contact

I have 4k journals that I have imported from excel 2003 (file format) into
outlook with the contact name in the beginning of the subject field (so all
journals are grouped by contact name followed by the subject and the person
who authored the journal). Now I would like to link each group of journals
to their respective contact. Is there a way to highlight all the journals
(e.g. 20 journals) and link them to their respective contact, without doing
them one at a time?

P.S. Does anyone know if MSFT has added additional capability to Journals in
Office 2010?

I'd try a group by contact field then add the contact to one journal item
and select the others and try to drag them to the correct by contact group.
I don't know if it will work, but it’s the easiest way to move large groups
of items if the field supports it.

Ok thanks. It looks like....

If you create a custom field or group by an existing field (i.e. company)
you can drag and drop, but NOT to the contact link field (i.e. Contact).

I'd try a group by contact field then add the contact to one journal item
and select the others and try to drag them to the correct by contact group.
I don't know if it will work, but it’s the easiest way to move large groups
of items if the field supports it.
