Outlook 2007 Attachment Blocking in Junk Email Folder

It seems like Outlook 2007 has introduced carte blanc attachment blocking
for messages placed in the Junk Email folder. Is there any way to turn that
off? Its causing problems for our antispam filtering system which uses
attachments for anti-spam reports.

Ultimately I think we will need to reconfigure our antispam solution not to
use attachments but until that can be done I would like to find some way to
allow access to attachments in the junk email folder without having to move
each message to a different folder first.

No, you can't turn that feature (which is also present in Outlook 2003) off. Move the items to another folder.

I've used Outlook 2003 regularly for the past three years and never
encountered this problem? I did remove some attachment blocking using the
Level1Remove registry key mentioned here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318515 however this fix doesn't seem to work
for the junk email folder.

I sort of understand the security rationale behind why it was done - it just
seems unneccesarily restrictive and in our case does not work well with our
antispam solution (spam assasin). We can obviously work around it - its just
a pain!

I must have been thinking of OL2007 all along. Anyway, that's how it works. It's more secure. And you can't turn it off.
