Change your default email format from Microsoft Rich Text (RTF) to either
HTML or Plain Text. RTF is a format that only Outlook understands, all
other email clients either get an attachment named "Winmail.DAT" which they
can't open, or no attachment at all:

am using Outlook 2007 on Vista Home Premium SP1. Any attachments sent are
not being received by people using Outlook Express on Win XP, although it
works OK with Outlook 2003 on XP!
I therefore have to use Windows Mail to send attachments. I don't know where
the problem is - XP, VIsa or Outlook. Any help muchy appreciated. Thank
you.
