Outlook 2007 automatically creating Backup Profiles

I have come across a problem with some of my users. They will call saying
they are prompted to choose a profile. I will go to their desk and in the
list it will have Outlook (the default), then Backup to Outlook, Backup2 to
Outlook, Backup 3 to Outlook, ect. Typically I remove all the profiles
(including the default) and create a new profile for the user.

This has happend on several of my users now. I did a search through google
but was unable to find anything as to what can be causing this. Does anyone
have any thoughts? We have outlook so it does not create a pst file. Any
help would be appreciated.

Outlook does not create profiles on its own. Those people must be doing it
themselves somehow or running something that is doing it.

Are you using a PRF in a login script? The profile backups are typically
made when you use a PRF to set up a new profile. see
http://outlook-tips.net/howto/prf_listing.htm for the property to add to the
prf to prevent the backups.
