Outlook 2007: automating form with macro

Karl

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help. I've created some templates in Outlook 2007.
Instead of having to go to New > Choose form every time I want to use the
template, I'd rather be able to simply use a key combination.

Is that possible? If so, can someone tell me how?

Cheers

Karl

Not possible.
Not directly, but there is an indirect method. Create a custom Contact
form with several buttons on a back page. In the click event of each
button, have the code to create an instance of one of the desired
templates. One button for each of the templates and give them
appropriate labels. Hide all the pages except the page with the
buttons. Publish the form and create an instance of it with a name
that begins with the digit 0, like 007-forms launcher. It will then
sit in the first slot of your contacts folder and you can just double
click it to launch it, click the desired button, and then close it.
Your desired form will open forthwith.

Microsoft originally called such items "Action Items", because they
contain actions, rather than data. But they eventually dropped them in
favor of the menu navigation to which you object. But there are time
when they can be very useful.
