Outlook 2007 b2 - Rules: still no MOVE action for send message

I just took the beta testdrive of Office 2007, especially Outlook 2007. I
like the overall improvement a lot, but found it kinda dissapointing that
still a MOVE action for send messages is missing. This feature has been
requested since rules were introduced, years ago, and questions regarding how
to move send messages are scattered all over these forums, with no decent
answer or solution ever.

I do not understand what's so hard to have a MOVE action next to a MOVE A
COPY (to a specified folder) action, which saves a lot of headache
organisation hassles for people who use Outlook a lot. The MOVE & MOVE A COPY
action are both available for INCOMING messages anyway, so what's up with not
havind both option for SEND MESSAGES?

I have lots of messages which I organize by contacts in INBOX & SEND ITEMS
folders, but cannot automate the SEND ITEMS because of this MOVE COPY rule.

I know there are some workarounds available, but they all miss the point of
simply moving specific messages without setting up complex rules to not touch
the ones that do not need to be organized / moved / whatever.

So, what's the reasoning by having a limited set of actions for SEND ITEMS?
I guess the developers have more incoming emails then that they write emails
:) I myself write a lot more emails and need to have them organized easely,
then I receive messages (junk excluded).

I'll agree that it's a much requested function.

And it's not hard to implement with the current rule set. Just turn off the global option to save sent messages to Sent Items and create a "catch all" rule with no conditions to move a copy of items to the Sent Items folder. For other folders, create an appropriate rule to move a copy of the item and make sure that it includes the Stop Processing action and that it appears above the catch-all rule.

I'm well aware of your suggested workaround solution, but it's not foolproof.
If you make one mistake in the order of rules to execute, you'll end up with
Send Emails that you cannot retreive anymore.

I consider myself an advanced Outlook user, but for newbies the logic is
hard to get why & how to setup a catchall first....

Anyway, my point is: Why does it take developers so long to implement this
fairly easy feature request that has been requested for so long, it's
straightforward easy thinking and could save a lot of headaches.

Any chance we will see this MOVE action eventually in the final Outlook 2007?

BTW, your workaround solution has comes with two things I don't like:

1. Messages are being copied in the Sent Items folder before they are even
sent out, and still waiting in the Outbox.
2. Copied Sent Items get a "not read yet" status. What's the point of that?
I wrote it, so I've read it :)

So, bring on the real MOVE action, hehe.
