I have had Outlook 2007 tying up my whole system: 10 seconds of usable
computer followed by 10 seconds of total inactivity. Doing a Google
search for "Outlook 2007 slow" shows I am not the only one to have an
unusable system with Outlook running and I've followed much of the
advice there including disabling fax services, disabling add-ins,
running auto-archive. The only add-in I have running now is Cloudmark
SpamNet without which I will drown in spam. (Trying to remove this
add-in from the Trust Center just seems to crash Outlook).
Running in Safe Mode, I seem to have no problems (except drowning in
Spam). What - if anything can I conclude from this? Is SpamNet the
culprit or does the information that Outlook runs fine in Safe Mode
suggest I should look elsewhere?
Cheers
