Outlook 2007 Backup

Recently, when I try to do a backup, I get the following error message:
"Cannot copy Personal Files: the file or Directory is corrupted or
unreadable" If I uncheck personal files and just backup the archieve files
it works fine. I have run the Scan PST utility and it says there are no
errors. Looking in the outlook documents file, it appears the Personal Files
have not been backed up for over a month, even though the backup menu shows
proper dates for when I have done backups. Outlook is running correctly with
no obvious problems. Any ideas?

Thank you for your prompt response, however this didn't help the problem.
Ran chkdsk twice (just to make sure). When I attempt to do a backup I get
the same error statement and no backup.
