I was receiving a message that Outlook 2007 BCM could not complete the last
action when I was attempting to open it. The message would appear no less
than nine times before I was able to exit the BCM and return to my inbox.
This problem occurred when I upgraded from the Treo 650 to the Treo 680
without performing a clean install, (bad idea). As I was performing a
hotsync, I noticed that the BCM dll would not load. There were several error
messages that occurred during the entire sync cycle. I was able to correct
this by actually deleting the BCM profile in Outlook 2007.
While I was able to correct the sync error, I still had the problem with BCM
loading as it should. I thought that deleting the profile would have fixed
the problem but I was wrong. I also tried the Office Diagnostic, repairing
Office via the Add/Remove Programsand utilizing the repair option after
inserting disk two of Office 2007 Ultimate all to no avail.
I finally decided to forget this issue and to never utilize the Business
Contact Manager. I went on with my weekly routine or running the disk clean
up utility and left the entire issue alone. When I woke the next morning I
started Outlook and the BCM was finalizing and it load fine and has been all
day as I check. Please not that the computer was not restarted after the
disk clean up utility was completed, (I went to sleep).
I don't know why this resolved the BCM dll issue, or even if it did, but I
am simply posting this with the hope that it may help others with the same
issue. If I begin to have the same issue again I will post. If you are
having this problem, please let me know if this helps.
Thanks.
