Outlook 2007 Beta 2 Imap and the Inbox Location.

Hi Folks,
This is my first ever newsgroup post so please go easy on me:)

I consider myself to fair competant when i comes to Imap and unitl now
i have used the Mozilla Thunderbird mail client because OL03 just
sucked when it came to purging mail. However i wanted to sit and give
OL07 a chance as it's possible many of my users/clients will end up
using it. If i'm to support them i at least need to have spent sometime
with it.

Although Imap support seems "better" it's still next to woefull when
you consider what the open source communitity have done with the
protcol. My question is this. Whilst looking at folder listing in the
Mail Navigation Panel on the Left of the application, the folder are
listed in alphabetical order...fine... there is however no option to
edit or change this..
The point being if you happen to name anyfolder with a letter that
begins with anything in the alphabet below I you're Inbox suddenly
becomes more and more difficult to find.
I have some 10/15 folders that start with letters below I and as such
my Inbox in most of the way near the bottom of the panel!!

Why aren't there options to drag this particular folder around. Maybe
even change the color of the folder, apply a label....anything.

In a pop3 account this isn't an issue as folder fall "under" the Inbox
(actually inside) however because IMAP acts differently (the Inbox is a
folder next to the other folders) there needs to be these kind of
options.

Any help anyone can offer in making the inbox more recoginsable or
where to pose the question to M$ would be gratefully recieved

Hi Marc,

Right-click your Inbox folder and select Add to Favorite Folders. Now
you have it in the short list of folders that is always visible. That's
the only way to put the Inbox in a more prominent position. The kind of
resorting you are looking for doesn't exist in Outlook.
