Outlook 2007 Beta and RSS

When installing Office 2007 Beta, Outlook just takes over the Feed and Feeds
file associations without asking. I run IE7.0 Beta and like my RSS Feeds
there. Now, when I click on my "feed present" icon in IE, Outlook pops up
instead. Can't add to my IE Feeds anymore.

Don't abuse the suggestion feature for this.

Outlook does prompt you if you want to synch your feeds with the system (IE7
also writes its subscribtions to the system and other RSS readers can take
use of that as well).

AFAIK the RSS button in IE7 can't trigger Outlook not even when you disable
the Feed View in IE. Ask in an IE 7 newsgroup to be sure.

go to the Home page. It says:
RSS readers, such as the one built into Microsoft Outlook 2007, allow you to
find feeds and subscribe to them. Whenever you see , or a similar icon, click
that icon. Outlook 2007 will automatically subscribe you to that feed.
My suggestion it to have an Option at install that can later be changed, if
desired, to make Outlook your default Reader or not.

I think what Roady was trying to point out is that your original post didn't actually make any concrete suggestion. Even though it didn't ask a specific question, it sounded more like a request for support than a suggestion. Now that you have provided more details, it's easier to see that you did indeed have a suggestion to make.
