Outlook 2007 beta and trial - reading pane greyed out

I was using the beta, and all of a sudden one day my reading pane option was
greyed out. I assuemd that is was and "encouragement" for me to uninstall
the beta.

So yesterday, I uninstalled the beta, and installed the trial. The reading
pane is still greyed out.

I would really really like my reading pane back. Any suggestions
