I've installed the Outlook 2007 Beta, and, whilst I am impressed with
the upgrade over 2003, it just cannot reliably render any HTML e-mail
which contains images. If I have the reading pane on, it just sits
there for a long time with 97% or so CPU usage. Try to start, say,
Firefox and it takes some 15 seconds, this on a PC running XP SP2 on an
Athlon 3000 with 1GB RAM. If I minimise Outlook, it's better, and if I
close it altogether my other programs start straight away.
I realise that there are limitations with Beta software, but I'd be
interested to know if this is a general problem or specific to me.
