Outlook 2007 beta: Problems with Instant Search

When Outlook 2007 loads, it suggest that I install "Instant Search" which I
did. It proceeded to install it but at a certain point, I got an error
"Access denied" and the process aborted and whatever was being installed, got
de-installed. All fine and good, and I can live without "Instant Search" but
now I get the suggestion of installing Instant Search every time I run
Outlook and I do not have the option anywhere to disable this choice. Any
suggestions both for the error and for disabling Instant Search will be
appreciated

If you don't have WDS installed, you can disable the reminder UI by
going to Tools | Options |
Other | Advanced, then deselecting "Show prompts to download Windows
Desktop Search".
This only works though if there is no WDS on your machine. If you don't
see that option, then you need to set this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Search

DWORD: DisableSearchDownloadPrompt
Values: 1 = The WDS installation prompt is displayed
0 (or missing DWORD) The WDS installation prompt is not displayed

I didn't have a problem installing WDS, but I believe there are some
users in this newsgroup who have experienced the same error and can
probably help you in figuring out what to do about it.

Thanks. I found the dialog and disabled the request to install Instant
Search. However, I would certainly like to have the Instant Search installed
and I would welcome your assistance in doing so. Let me know if you need any
more information from me than what I have already posted.

Thanks. This is exactly the problem and the solution is rather arcane
because one has to enable verbose logging on XP, identify the registry keys
that deny access and modify them. I just do not think that it is worth
bothering about.
