I have no Reading Pane in the Inbox view. "Reading Pane" under View is greyed

My actual trouble is that although I have emails in the inbox, the reading
pane is entirely empty of all text or anything that goes with the email, and
when I double click on the email in my inbox and actually open the email,
there isn't any text or anything...any ideas?

well I have the same problem shown first by all imported messages from OE,
later with test-mails too - and as well in all folders pop, smtp and imap.
But, when I sent the "rendering report" to Microsoft - the full test was
displayed in the "sent folder" message. Curious, isn't it!

I'm in the same boat, can't see anything in the reading pane or when I open
emails. Extremely Frustrating.
I tried switching to "Plain Text".....I get 1 character in the reading
pain.....either and H or an X.
"Rich Text" also shows nothing.
Looks like I'm back to outlook 2003.......

Hi all!
Have te same problem... beta2. I uninstalled the beta2 and installed
Pre-Released version, and everything works fine.
I can see the message if i turn on the AutoPreview in View toolbars...
I called a college that is working at Microsoft support but he said he
didn't start testing yet...
If anyone finds any solution... please let me know?!
Don't know how to solve else.... I will be reading my e-mail via web-mail
until the prob is solved

I can't find a way to display a pane. You guys seem to have one with nothing

Same here. It was working yesterday when I first installed.

My solution is:
I deleted AVG - Antivirus, restarted the PC and installed Avira ANTIVIR
Personal Edition Classic with success - the reading pane shows correct and
full text, as well implemented pictures in all imported mails as well as in
new sent ones.
One problem remains: my imap-folders shows some mails correct, others not =
the preview pane keeps empty - needs probably some brainstorms
I wait, until AVG finds the new and compatible sourcecode for Office 2007
to all: have a nice weekend
