Outlook 2007 Beta2 Email Not Working

G

Gordon Staley

I just upgraded to the 2007 Beta2. One feature from ON 2003 that doesn't
seem to work is the ability to E-mail a page. I've tried the E-mail
(envelope) icon on the standard toolbar, (Ctrl+Shift+E), (File, E-Mail) and
(File, Send To, Mail Recipient). In all instances nothing happens. My
Outlook email is functioning just fine when I email from Outlook. IE is able
to Send To Mail Recipient. This seems to be some problem with ON 2007.

Have others been able to E-mail ON pages from the 2007 Beta?

Thanks,
Gordon

Oops, I just realized that I gave this the wrong title. It should read that

Well, I just figured it out. The first page I tried to send was one that was
linked from ON 2003. When I was asked if I wanted to upgrade the section to
ON 2007 format I declined (Cancel). At that point all Email features from ON
2007 were locked up. To fix it I went back to the linked section and
accepted (OK) the upgrade.

I am having the same problem but I do not recall rejecting an upgrade of a
page nor if I did where to find it.

I'm still having the same problem.
And I don't know what was the upgrade which Gordon said.
Would you do help me how to correct this problem??
I can't see any clues for this now.

So you all don't see the toolbar button for email?

Can you select File-->E-mail?
Or is the option greyed out?

Actually, I spoke too soon. I am no longer able to email ON pages. Also
there is NO button.

Daniel,

I can select the email option under the File menu but if you click on it -
nothing happens.

Here are other comments that I would like to see fixed or changed:

the FIND is inconcistent at best - never stops after starting. Does not
always find a result during testing.

The text boxes can pull text out of a box and create a new box against my
best effort to avoid it. It is also difficult to join the text two text boxes

Couldn't there be a separte toolbar for people using a tablet PC. I know
that this program was oriented for that purpose but I would like to see more
commands for a regular laptop. I would like to see a paintbrush to format
similar text.

Folks,

I have the same issue. I can't send a page from Onenote 2007 to OUtlook
2003. Neither the Ctrl+Shift+E or send to Mail recepients. I must also add
that the Send to Microsoft Word is greyed out.

Nothing at all. As described above,

1. When I select "Send to EMail as Attachement" nothing happens.
2. When I do "Send to mail as PDF" I see the bar of conversion to PDF and
then nothing happens.
3. When I click CTRL+SHFT+E nothing happens.
4. The option to "Send to Microsoft Word" is greyed out.

I'm using Outlook 2003 with Onenote 2007 Beta 2. I think it has something
to do with the MAPI connection. I did a Repair on Outlook 2003 and
Disgnostics on ON 2007.

Any suggestions?

My buttons all appear but nothing happens when I try to send anything as an
email, as an attachement or as a pdf file. Has anyone found a solution?

Thanks for the update : )

FWIW:
It works fine with Outlook Express when set as the deafult
mail-handler.

My solution:
Use Outlook Express for mailing.
If this application is set as the default mail-handlers, the ON
features of nsneding things by mail work fine.

P.S. If one is using IMAP for mail instead of POP3 the same folders on
the mail-server are used by Outlook as well as Outlook Express.
