Outlook 2007 - Business Contact Manager Problem

Fiscal

I've just installed Office 2007 Beta 2 and, when I try to launch Outlook, I
get a message telling me that Business Contact Manager (which I had with my
Outlook 2003) has encountered a problem and must close. This then closes
Outlook. Even when I uncheck the box saying "Restart Business Contact
Manager" I still encounter the same problem. How do I get Outlook 2007 to
launch without this happening?

You must install the 2007 version of Business Contact Manager or close the
2003 version so it does not launch.

I uninstalled BCM 2003 and Outlook 2007 now works fine -- thanks for the
advice. Where can I get hold of BCM 2007? I've looked on the Office 2007 Beta
CDs and it doesn't appear to be included.

Hi Fiscal,

If you ordered the DVD from the 'Get the beta' link below MS Outlook [with] Business Contact Manager 2007 (BCM) should be in a
separate folder on that DVD. If you have a CD set (there is apparently more than one assortment) it may be pre-extracted into
folders. If so, look for MSSSmlBiz.msi and run the Setup.exe from that folder (not the .MSI directly).

If it's compressed look for a file named BCM-EN.exe. If you don't have it included you can download it from the 'Get the Beta'
link, but it's about 247MB.

When having problems starting Outlook 2007 beta when having Outlook
2003 with Business Contact Manager installed (endless "error, restart,
error, etc"), this is what worked for me:

Go to the configuration panel, click email, and then data file
management. Just remove the Business Contact Manager entry in the list.
This way, you get to start Outlook without having to remove Outlook
2003 from your PC.

After you get this working, you can install BCM 2007, but i'm not sure
if you can use your old data from the SQL Server, but that's worth a
try.
