Hi,
I have a weird problem, I could not rectify so far, although it is a big
pain since a few months. My corporate email account I am using with Outlook
2007 accessing Exchange 2003 SP2 through https connection is not showing all
emails I receive. This is regardless whether I am in the office (Intranet)
or accessing the server from outside the network (internet through https).
Problem: Outlook 2007 running through https connection towards Exchange
2003, using OST and Cached Exchange Mode does not show all emails I am
receiving over a day. Accessing Exchange through OWA or synching with my WM5
Smartphone shows up emails NEVER appearing in my Outlook Inbox, unless I
close Outlook (and make sure it is not running anymore using TaskManager)
and re-open it. Emails from a few hours back are 'magically' appearing
again. It has nothing to do with the sender since the same person can send
me two emails within 10 minutes and only one makes it into Outlook, the
other never shows up, but on OWA and synching with my SmartPhone it does.
This is what I tried:
-Running Outlook not in Cached Exchange mode does resolve the problem, but
is not a long term option, since I am traveling frequently and not always
connected via broadband (plane)
-I deleted the Outlook OST file completely to get a new one created when
connecting to Exchange again: no resolution, emails still did not show up
-I completely re-created my Windows Vista Business Domain user profile
making sure the corresponding registry key got deleted prior to the reboot:
no resolution again, same odd behavior
-I ran the Office 2007 repair mode which took a while and should have made
sure it does copy/repair missing files: No resolution
Anyone having a suggestion for this pain? I can make it work by frequently
closing Outlook and opening again, which makes the email show up, but why is
it not synching properly on it's own? Again, we are nto talking about a few
minutes delay or so, the emails do NEVER show up unless I restart Outlook
completely! And this does not happen for all emails but randomly for just a
few!
Thanks for an idea!
