Running Vista with new Outlook 2007 and just migrated from old computer.
Various error messages and cannot delete selected e-mail message(s). Used
Inbox repair tool (SCANPST) and it corrected some errors, but still it will
not delete. Finally stumbled on workaround as follows: select message you
wish to delete, then hit "shift-delete" (simultaneously), and after a nag box
- it works! Whew! Nothing more scary then imagining where I would be after
a week without deleting any mail messages - that would be paralytic. I just
wasted two hours sorting this out and the official MS tools all failed. It
amazes me that MS is actually still in business and I sincerely regret that I
find myself sending them money. On the other hand, I am grateful for this
discussion group as this is where I got the idea for the work around. C'est
la vie...
