Disabling McAfee's outbound scan will not help, removing McAfee and doing a
custom re-install without ANY email scanning at all might. McAfee, Norton,
and recent releases of Trend are not compatible with Vista, you might want
to consider removing McAfee and replacing it with something that is, such as
AVG, Avast!, or NOD32. Even with these products, email scanning must not be
installed as ALL email scanners are incompatible with Vista SP1:
