I have just installed Office 2007, and found that my outlook menus and inbox
(the mail items - not the letter contents) are all using cleartype fonts.
Call me strange, but I really prefer working without cleartype.
I do not have cleartype enabled in my desktop, and I have removed it from
the explorer's advanced settings, so that HTML won't use it either.
I even downloaded the XP powertoys cleartype tuner tool - that helps me
change the settings (e.g. contrast) of the cleartype font, which DOES change
it also in outlook, but the on/off setting gets disregarded, and cleartype
stays ON for outlook with the last settings, no matter what!
Any ideas? I would really appriciate it since mail reading takes up a lot of
my screen viewing time...
