Outlook 2007 compatibility with Outlook 2002 files

I have Outlook 2002 and am thinking of buying the 2007 version. Can anyone
tell me

1)If I can upgrade 2002 to 2007 - or do I have to purchase a stand alone
version
2) If the latter, will 2007 run on a computer that already has 2002
installed? Or do I have to uninstall 2002 first?
3) Can I import 2002 contacts and e mail into 2007?
4) And if I can import 2002 contacts into 2007 - will the 2002 categories
turn up in the 2007 version (I have lots of contacts and lots of categories
and would not wish to have to re-categorise all my contacts)?

1) You can purchase Office/Outlook 2007 to upgrade from Office/Outlook 2002.

2) Yes, you can run them side by side except for Outlook.

3) You don't have to import as Outlook 2007 fully supports legacy PST
file(s).

4) As long as you are not reformatting your OS, your best best is to
uninstall Office/Outlook 2002, reboot, and then install Office/Outlook 2007.
You should find that everything is just the way you want it.
