I'm trying to figure out how to filter out completed tasks from the "By
Category" task view. I have tried applying 2 different filters (separately)
that I though should give the result that I wanted, but neither of which are
solving the problem.
Using an advanced filter: Status not equal to Completed.
This view filters some completed tasks, but not all. Lots of emails that at
one time had a follow-up flag on them, and are now marked as complete are
still showing up in this view (they are grayed out there is the line striking
through the text)
Using an advanced filter: Complete equals No
There are 2 strange things happening with this filter. Firstly, it is
filtering out a lot more items than the previous filter – I would have
assumed that it would be equivalent to the “Status not equal to Completeâ€
filter. Secondly, it is still leaving lots of emails that once had a
follow-up flag but are now marked as complete in the view (grayed out and
struck through as before).
Does anyone know how to filter these items correctly so that completed items
are not showing up? Also, any idea why the 2 filters are returning different
data?
