Outlook 2007 contacts and address book

Hi,

When I open the address book to search for a contact I cannot find that
person, however if I type the person's name in the search address book box,
it finds it okay?

I have tried to create a new contact via the Outlook Contact page and also
through a new entry in the address book. Both times, the address book doesn't
find the person's name. The address book contains over a hundred names and
there are no other contact address books on the PC.

Can anyone help with this strange quirk?

Thanks in advance,

Lyj

The Outlook Address Book has no separate existence - it is simply a virtual view of your contacts with an electronic address. Contacts are added in the Contact's folder, not the Address Book.

Sounds like you imported your contacts or otherwise brought in your Outlook date improperly.

Try a new mail profile.
