Outlook 2007 Contacts to Business contact migration w/ Treo 700P s

I have a Treo 700P that, as of last week, I know synch with my 300+ Outlook
2007 contacts.

I have installed Business Contact Manager today and would like to start
using it. I see that in the demos it says to just copy or move all my
contacts to the BCM. There is no synch between them which seems odd to me.

To the point, my question is simply this, will my Palm when I synch it look
for my original contacts if I move them all into BCM and blow away my phone
contacts? Will it know to look at BCM now, and not standard contacts?

If not, this is a huge heache and a duplication of contacts now. I use
business and personal contacts on my phone and would move them all into BCM
instead of having two separate databases to know manage.

It is likely that your BCM contacts will not be visible to your Palm device
and your sync software will remove them from the device if you move them
from the default Contacts to the BCM contacts.

I was afraid you would say that. I did some digging and I see that a lot of
users ar e frustrated with the duplication of contact databases and the
inability to keep the both updated in sync. Frustrating way to handle it,
even though I understand why.

Any idea if and when they will make changes to this relationship? IF I
continue to use BCM this will be the determining factor.

I'm not familiar enough with BCM to advise you. You should visit the BCM
newsgroup microsoft.public.outlook.bcm
