Outlook 2007 Crashing

Recently, my Outlook 2007 program has started a continous cycle of
crash/restart. It happens about every 12 minutes and the event log has
following message

Faulting application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 12.0.6023.5000, time stamp
0x46574050, faulting module libobjc.i386.A.dll, version 7.3.6.0, time stamp
0x4692d86b, exception code 0xc000001d, fault offset 0x00004dfe, process id
0x1444, application start time 0x01c7d189e721d8ef.

I only have a single POP3 (Gmail) account setup now although I did also have
Hotmail, but removing that did not seem to remedy the situation.

Any ideas?

If you open Outlook in safe mode, do you have the same problem? Go to Start
| Run and type "outlook.exe /safe" without the quotes but including the space.

Thanks for the tip Jocelyn. It does not seem to crash with the /Safe switch.
I also turned off the Reading Pane when back in Normal mode, but Outlook
still crashed (I know this had been an issue in the past). I checked the
Disable Items dialog box and there is nothing in there to disable. Let me
know if you have any ideas. Thanks...Capt

I have had a similiar problem with Outlook 2000. The issue appears to
have started just after we upgraded our iTunes to Version 7.3 over the
weekend. We are still looking for a solution.

If you have add-ins installed, try disabling them...if Outlook works, enable
the add-ins one by one until you find out which one is causing crashes. You
should also disable e-mail scanning by your AV program...it's really not
necessary and it tends to interfere with other Outlook operations.

Outlook iTunes Sync Add-In.

In Outlook 2000, I can't even get in to try and turn off the Add-Ins.
I receive the following message:

Faulting application outlook.exe, version 9.0.0.6604, faulting module
libobjc.i386.a.dll, version 7.3.6.0, fault address 0x0000d0f4.

I have been getting this message ever since I upgraded iTunes to
Version 7.3.1.3.

Any ideas?

Are you running XP or Vista? You may need Admin priviledges if running under
Vista.

I was having problems with Outlook opening ONLY in safe mode. I tried running
scanpst.exe, fixed the corrupt *.pst files, but that didn't improve Outlooks
performance away from safe mode. While searching for the outcmd.dat file to
rename it, Vista kept hanging while it searched... I began having other
problems while deleting files and searching for files under Vista.

The problem turned out to be the windows search engine utility that Vista
and Outlook (Office) want to run. Under Win XP, the windows search engine
never worked better than the Google downloadable search engine did. So I
disabled this BUG from Vista and now the whole system works wonderfully!!!!

To disable this gem, go into the Control Panel, Administrative Tools, then
Services. The name of the service is Windows Search- click disable. (then if
not already stopped, go into the Task Manager and kill the app called
Search***)

Hopefully this helps someone!!

I am also having the same problem, and have disabled windows search.
Application does not seem to crash in safe mode, and have checked for
corrupted .pst files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
