Outlook 2007 Data file not closing properly

Marks2912

Each time I open Outlook 2007 I receive the message:
"A data file did not close properly the last time it was used and is now
being checked for problems. Performance might be affected while the check is
in progress."

Office Diagnostics does not detect any problems
I am running Outlook 2007 SP1 on Vista.

Are there any suggestions on how to fix this?
thanks

TrendMicro, and I think yes it does 'integrate' with Outlook as it has an
anti-spam function & toolbar in Outlook (apologies - computer literacy level
is low!)

Try uninstalling the Outlook "integration" - you may need to look at the
help files for TrendMicro to do this. It may involve uninstalling it
completely and then re-installing, without the Outlook integration.

Thanks Gordon,
Disabling the Trendmicro Spam Filter has fixed the problem - as Outlook has
its own Spam filter, i will just use it...

I am receiving the same message and also goin crazy. I have not installed
any new software, anti-virus or other, nor do i have a pda attached. I have
run a scan of the pst files, there were errors found but nothing changed when
i re-opened Outlook. The gear icon is visible from the moment i open Outlook
-- and never goes away....even after being open for nine hours +. Help!
