Outlook 2007: Deleted files are disappearing

K

kolll

I am using Outlook 2007.

When I delete an e-mail it just disappears instead of showing up in the
deleted files folder (personal folder) and/or IMAP). I have checked for these
files in my IMAP deleted files, IMAP trash and personal deleted files.

Can anyone tell me where these files have gone? Could it be something in my
settings?

Thank you

IMAP doesn't use either a Deleted Items Folder or a Trash folder. That's how
IMAP works. You've obviously chosen to hide items marked for deletion.

Thanks for replying.

I checked and I did not hide items marked for deletion.

I cannot see the deleted message when I login (squirrellmail) through the
webmail either.

That's why I am preplexed.

Have you got the option to purge a folder on exiting checked?

Have you got the option to purge a folder on exiting checked?

Make sure you are checking the proper folder. I had a similar
problem, then realized that the messages I deleted were going to a
different "deleted items" folder than the one I was checking.

I checked the trash folder in webmail (SquirrelMail) and Outlook, the deleted
emails are not there.

Do you think I should set-up a deleted folder on IMAP?

Thanks for taking the time to help.
