Original Office 2003 backup disk that came with my laptop was in spanish. I
called Dell and they sent me a 2007 disk in English. I uninstalled the
spanish one and installed the english one, but the text in Outlook still
reads in spanish. Can I change it?

Try starting Outlook once with the /resetfoldernames command switch.

Brian, thanks for the info, but I have no idea what this means. My son used
to work 3rd level tech support for HP and says he will help me if you can
provide some basic directions on how to do this.
Thanks!

Click Start>Run. IN the Open field, enter

outlook /resetfoldernames

and click OK. Be sure to include the space in front of the slash.

Brian,
I appreciate your help, but when I do this, there is no change. Everything
in Outlook 2007 displays in English except the file names (inbox, sent,
deleted messages, etc.) I have spent over 8 hours online with Dell who cannot
seem to fix the problem and Microsoft will not talk to me as the software was
originally bundles with my computer. Had to replace hard drive so had to
reinstall everything. When I went to reinstall Office, thats when I found
out my disks were in spanish. I NEVER installed those! Dell sent me new
Office 2007 disk which I installed - no problem! All went perfectly until I
opened Outlook and it has spanish folder names. Is learning spanish my only
recourse!! Please let me know if you have any more suggestions. Thanks

Alas, I do not. Perhaps someone else will be able to suggest something.
