Outlook 2007 displays word windows and hangs

For some reason, after installing latest SP for Outlook 2007 whenever I load
Outlook it also displays two greyed-out windows for Microsoft Word on my
second screen (I have two screens) and then hangs. By selecting different
folders (other than Inbox) I can get these ghostly windows to go away. But
how can I get them to not display and hang in the first place?

Are you perhaps using a Matrox video card? I've encountered this issue
before and updating it to the latest video driver solved it. If you are
already running the latest, see if using the previous version works.

No, I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT video card. But now I'm curious if
there may not be a problem with this card if you've experienced the same
problem with another card. Incidentally, I have the same video card at work
(Dixie State College of Utah) and have seen the same problem there. When I
try to update the driver the system tells me that I have the most recent one.
Should I try an earlier driver?

I tried rolling back the driver for my video card, and the problem still
persists. Any other ideas?

See if it still happens in Outlook Safe Mode;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

If not, it is most likely caused by an add-in that you have installed.
Disable them all and see if it still happens. If not, enable them one by one
to find the culprit.

I've deleted the one add-in that I'm aware of--4Team Duplicate Killer--but
that did not solve the problem. Is there someplace I can look to see what
other add-ins I might have installed? I really do appreciate your help on
this.
