Outlook 2007 Doesn't Refresh Various Inboxes

I have a vexing issue that seemed like a minor annoyance at first--one
I could live with. This is not the case. I recently got a new laptop
w/ Office 2007.

I used Windows Easy Transfer (on old & new comp) to migrate Outlook
data/settings. All seemed to work just fine.

However, when I receive new email to any of my mail accounts (direct
POP3, IMAP, Hotmail HTTP), the respective inbox does not refresh
showing the unread message(s). If I click directly on said inbox, the
message appears.

This is not an acceptable workflow for me, as I receive many emails
throughout the day. What can I do to fix this issue? I have attached
a snapshot of my Outlook Add-ins, which appear to be Microsoft-
centric, save Adobe PDF & Bluetooth.

The Easy Transfer wizard does not handle Outlook files well.

Disable the add-ins and see if it makes a difference, especially
PDFMOutlook.

Thanks for the suggestion. Plugin disabled and computer completely
rebooted. Issue still persists.

Additionally, I also invoked Outlook with the '/safe' switch,
disabling all plugins. Issue still persists.

Hi,
Had same problem. Outlook 2007 Dutch with BCM. No refresh of inbox.
Problem caused by Norton Internet Security: firewall

Solution: deleted outlook-prgm from firewall list and started outlook again.
Norton-fw asked what to do with outlook: allow all (not auto).

Problem solved.
Succes
