I have a network with 4 computers running Office 2007, XP Pro connected to
SBS2003. Outlook is connected to the Exchange 2003 component of SBS2003.
Computers were deployed using a single, new image inside the last 3 months.
New Zealand has had changes to the daylight savings change over dates, and
as part of this process the required Microsoft Updates were deployed to the
workstations, using WSUS, and applied to the server. Two of the computers
have no problem, while two have an issue where calendar entries are 13 hours
out. They appear to be defaulting to GMT, instead of NZT (GMT +1200). ie if
you make new appointment by double clicking, say 8am, the new entry will
default to the time of 7pm the previous day.
If you make an appointment in Outlook 2007 and click on the time zone
button, the time zone box is blank. Setting the drop down choice to the
correct zone doesn't stick. I've gone into Tools - Options - Calendar
Options - Time Zone options and confirmed everything in there is correct.
Changing to a different time zone works correctly. The time zone shows up in
the calendar entry when you select the time zone dialog, and appointments
are entered at the correct time.
I have reapplied the XP time zone update patch, and also done a repair
install of Office 2007. I have confirmed that the issue is not user
specific. Logging in as a different user exhibts the same problem.
Suggestions appreciated
