I recently installed the latest IE7 RC and now, I cannot automatically open a
browser when I click on an embedded e-mail link. Instead, I get an error
message that MS can't find a program to open the file. I then can get a list
of apps and, after selecting a browser and checking the box so this browser
is used for all files of this type, the browser opens fine. However, I muat
do this every time I click on an e-mail link. The program apparently fails
to remember my selection. Before installing IE7 RC, Outlook 2007 worked
fine.
There was a similar posting earlier about this problem and it was suggested
to use Control Panel | Internet options | Programs
There reset your websettings by clicking the button "Reset".
I don't see any such setting nor can I find in IE7: Tools>Internet
Options>Programs>Reset Websettings as was suggested in another response to a
posting of a similar nature. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
