Outlook 2007 - E-mail Send/ReceiveLoop

Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
MS Office Professional 2007

Occcasionally, when I send a message that does not get sent automatically,
the send receive functions enter a loop which continues to cycle until I stop
the Send/Recieve task. At the end of the process, the outgoing message
remains in the Outbox.

Anyone have any thoughts?
