Outlook 2007 - Email Goes to Taskbar After Sending

I

Infoman

Hi...

More and more, many of the emails that I send from Outlook show on the
Windows taskbar, and the only way to get rid of them is to close down Outlook
and restart it. From searching, I know this has happened to at least a
couple of other people, but there was never any resolution mentioned.

Does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening - and better yet, how
to fix this?

Thanks...

Andy

I thought it was fixed in an update - make sure you have all the updates
installed.

Diane,

I have the same problem, was there ever a resolution found?

When I send an email it sends, but there is a taskbar email icon that
doesn't go away until i shutdown outlook.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi, Nick...

While I never got another reply from Diane, somehow, I was able to fix this.
I think what I did was to disable every Outlook add-in that I was not using,
and I think this did the trick - one of them must have been causing this
problem. Are there Outlook add-ins you have active? If so, are there any
you can disable and do without?

Thanks...

What addins do you have installed? We can probably guess which one it is by
looking at the list.

Nick...

Of the 5 active add-ins, do you need all 5 active? If not, disable the ones
that you don't necessarily need active and see if the problem still exists.
If you DO still need all 5, or if the problem still exists after disabling
one or more of the active 5, disable them one by one until we find the
culprit. Let us know what happens, or if you ended up disabling all 5 and
the problem STILL exists.

Thanks...

Hi, Nick...

AHA!!! If memory serves me correctly now, it was - and IS - the SNAGIT
add-in. When I disabled that one in particular, I believe, that's when the
problem was fixed. I'm about 99% sure. Let's see what happens with you on
this, but I'm almost positive it is the SNAGIT add-in to Outlook.

Thanks...
