Zia Texas
I am using Outlook 2007, Internet Explorer 7.0, and Windows Vista Ultimate
(32 bit), will all the current updates.
I have a current VeriSign Digital ID Certificate (Private Key) installed in
IE 7.0 and Outlook 2007 under my e-mail account. I also have current
VeriSign Digital ID Certificates (Public Keys) installed in Outlook 2007
under the respective contacts.
When I receive an encrypted e-mail from one of my contacts who also has a
VeriSign Digital ID, I get the following error message:
Encryption Problems
Microsoft Office Outlook had problems encryption this message because te
following recipients had missing or invalid certificates, or conflicting or
unsupported encryption capabilities:
ZiaTexas
Continue will encript and send the message but the listed recipients may not
be able to read it.
There are three buttons; Send Encrypted (enabled), Continue (disabled), and
Cancel (enabled).
Note that this message is INCOMING encrypted and not OUTGOING!
Consequently, the above message seems meaningless.
If I press the Send Unencrypted button, the message is decryped and placed
back into my Inbox. Note again, that I'm not sending a message; I'm
receiving it.
Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, has anyone come up with a
solution?
This problem does not exist when I use my backup computer running WinXP and
Outlook 2002.
