I've run Outlook 2007 on my laptop for over 6 months. I was in the process
of adding a new email account, and deleted an IMAP email account I no longer
needed, before setting up the new email account.
Now when I attempt to open Outlook 2007 I get the following message: Cannot
start MSOffice Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders
cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file c:/documentsand
settings/user/local settings/application data/microsoft/outlook/outlook.pst.
Quit outlook and all mail enabled applications and use the inbox repair tool
(scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file.
If Outlook won't open, how do I run the inbox repair tool when it resides in
the tools section of Outlook?
Any suggestions on how to get outlook to open would be greatly appreciated.
All my accounting passwords and account numbers are in my contact files.
Thanks.
