Hi!
We have recently migrated from Courier-IMAP to Exchange 2007.
The issue I'm having is this: users who "delete" messages through IMAP
access.
These messages, though marked as "deleted" (and not purged) through
IMAP, still show up in Outlook 2007's default views. If I customize
my view to filter on "IMAP Status", the messages are still there. If
I add "IMAP Status" to the list of fields to display in the current
view, every message has a blank IMAP status, regardless of whether or
not it has been marked deleted through IMAP.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to write a bit of VBA code that would
move any messages in the Inbox that were marked deleted though IMAP to
the Deleted Items folder. Can this be done? Is the IMAP Status of a
message only available when viewing an e-mail through pure IMAP (as
opposed to using Outlook 2007)?
(If anyone's curious, this is because I have many users using
Blackberries and iPhones to connect to e-mail through IMAP, and
they're quite confused when messages they deleted on the road are on
their computer when they get back to the office.)
Thanks for any help!
Jason
